CLASS INFORMATION

Class Description

Beginner: These classes are appropriate for all dancers who have never taken Irish dance classes before or with minimal experience. Dancers will learn the foundational skills and basics in technique, posture, timing, and rhythm. Dancers will learn beginner soft shoe dances. 

Advanced Beginner: Dancers must be approved to register for this class. This class is appropriate for dancers who have learned all of their beginner soft shoe material and are beginning to learn hard shoe. 

Intermediate/Advanced/Champ: Dancers must be approved to register for this class and will have completed necessary pre-requisites.

Teen and Adult: This class is appropriate for teen and adult dancers who are new to Irish dance as well as those more advanced dancers who do not wish to join the Intermediate/Advanced/Champ classes. Dancers will learn both soft shoe and hard shoe material and learn the foundational skills and basics in technique, posture, timing, and rhythm.


What to Wear
Dancers should wear a t-shirt or tank top and shorts, skort, or capris. Sweatpants and loose sweatshirts/jackets will not be permitted during class. Beginners may wear socks or ballet/jazz shoes. Intermediate-Champ level dancers must wear appropriate Irish dance soft shoes and hard shoes. Hair must be secured back, away from the face.
